GIACOMO ENRICO FERRARI E’ nato a Milano il 12/10/1985; ha manifestato precocemente uno spiccato interesse per la musica ed all’età di sei anni ha iniziato gli studi pianistici, seguito dal Maestro Giovanni Mazzei fino all’età di 11 anni.
Ha frequentato la scuola media a indirizzo musicale di Via Vivaio a Milano, con gli insegnanti Edoarda Pardini, Giovanni Vitaletti e Vera Zanotti, dove è stato vivamente incoraggiato a partecipare a concorsi nazionali ottenendo ottimi risultati.
Ha proseguito poi gli studi pianistici e liceali presso il Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi di Milano, dove nel 2006 ha conseguito il Diploma Accademico di I livello in pianoforte con il massimo dei voti, sotto la guida del Maestro Daniele Lombardi, ed ha inoltre frequentato tre anni di clavicembalo con il Maestro Ruggero Laganà.
Nel 2008 ha ultimato il Biennio di II livello in pianoforte ad indirizzo cameristico, laurendosi con il massimo dei voti sotto la guida del Maestro Luigi Zanardi; nel contempo ha svolto un’intensa attività di collaboratore pianistico per lo stesso Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi.
Amante della musica nelle sue varie forme, ha inoltre frequentato per due anni un Civico Corso di Jazz con il Maestro Mario Rusca.
Nel 2009 ha presentato domanda di ammissione presso la Manhattan School di New York dove è stato accettato con il riconoscimento di una borsa di studio.
Nel 2009 e nel 2010 si è recato in Germania per un corso di duo pianistico tenuto dai Maestri Hans-Peter e Volker Stenzl e nel 2012 a Budapest per un corso di musica da camera tenuto da Isabelle Oehmichen.
Nutre particolare passione e interesse per l’ambito didattico: attualmente insegna presso la scuola di musica “Ricordi Music School” di Milano, coltiva progetti formativi e pedagogici personali e impartisce lezioni private di pianoforte.
Dal 2014 è pianista collaboratore delle classi di strumento al Conservatorio “G. Verdi” di Milano e nel 2019 è stato tra i pianisti accompagnatori ufficiali del Concorso Internazionale della Società Umanitaria.
CONCERTI
Nel 2005, per la raccolta di fondi in favore del Sud Est Asiatico, ha partecipato ad una Maratona musicale tenutasi al Conservatorio di Milano – Nel 2006 ha partecipato alla Maratona Mozart tenutasi al Teatro Dal Verme di Milano, organizzata per celebrare i 250 anni dalla nascita del compositore – Nel 2007, per un’altra raccolta di fondi, si è esibito da solista in un concerto promosso dall’Associazione Lions di Desio – Dal 2005 al 2009 si è esibito nella rassegna concertistica estiva I Concerti nel Chiostro del Conservatorio di Milano e nel 2006 e 2007 nei concerti cameristici della Triennale, sempre a Milano – Nel 2010 ha tenuto concerti dedicati a Chopin e Schumann e nel 2011 un concerto in Ungheria dedicato a Liszt e alla musica magiara, in occasione dei bicentenari dalla nascita dei tre compositori – Nel 2012 si è esibito all’interno del Grad Theatre Summer Festival di Budva (Montenegro) e alla Parnassus Concert Hall di Atene (Grecia). Nel 2014 ha suonato nella sala grande della University of Music Fryderyk Chopin di Varsavia in duo con il mandolinista Raffaele La Ragione, con il quale ha inoltre pubblicato nel 2015 un CD per Brilliant Classics.
GIACOMO ENRICO FERRARI was born in Milan on October 12, 1985. His interest in music came at the age of six when he took up piano lessons with the music teacher Giovanni Mazzei until eleven.
He attended the Italian middle school specialized in music in via Vivaio in Milan, with the teachers Edoarda Pardini, Giovanni Vitaletti and Vera Zanotti. During this period he was strongly encouraged to take part in national competitions where he got very good results.
He kept up his piano studies and secondary education at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan, where in 2006 he got his First Level Academic Diploma in piano performance with the highest marks, trained by the teacher Daniele Lombardi. He also took a three-year harpsichord course held by the teacher Ruggero Laganà.
In 2008 he obtained his Second Level Academic Diploma in chamber music with full marks under the guidance of Luigi Zanardi. At the same time he intensely collaborated with the same Conservatory as accompanying pianist.
Enjoying music to the full, he also attended for two years a jazz course with the teacher Mario Rusca.
In 2009 he has been awarded a scholarship by the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
In 2009 and 2010 he went to Germany for a piano duo course kept by the teachers Hans-Peter and Volker Stenzl and in 2012 to Budapest for a chamber music course kept by Isabelle Oehmichen.
He has a special passion and interest for the educational environment: he teaches at the music school “Ricordi Music School” in Milan, grows personal pedagogical projects and gives private piano lessons.
From 2014 is working as accompanist at the G. Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan and in 2019 was one of the official accompanists of the Società Umanitaria’s International Competition.
CONCERTS
In 2005, for the fund-raising in favour of the South East Asia, he took part in a Music Marathon at the Conservatory of Music in Milan – In 2006 he has participated in the “Mozart Marathon”, organized for celebrate the 250th birth’s anniversary of the composer, held at Teatro dal Verme in Milan – In 2007 he performed as a soloist for another fund-raising concert organized by the Lions Association of Desio. Since 2005 to 2009 he has been performing in a summer festival named I Concerti nel Chiostro held at the Music Conservatory of Milan and in 2006 and 2007 in the chamber concerts of the Palace of Art (Triennale) in Milan – In 2010 he gave concerts dedicated to Chopin and Schumann and in 2011 a concert in Hungary dedicated to Liszt and Magyar music, on the occasion of the bicentennial of the birth of the three composers – In 2012 he performed during the Grad Theatre Summer Festival di Budva (Montenegro) and at the Parnassus Concert Hall in Athens (Greece). In 2014 he performed at the University of Music Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw with the mandolinist Raffaele La Ragione, with whom has published in 2015 a CD for Brilliant Classics.
